Laura Lewis bio

Laura is the director of safety and corporate compliance at AFS and has over 28 years of experience in DD/ID services. Her primary background is in Community and Employment Support (CES) Waiver in the state of Arkansas as well as corporate compliance and quality assurance. Laura oversees the training team and the medical team at AFS, in addition to serving as the HIPAA privacy officer for the organization. She also holds a position as a program services for the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and has been serving on accreditation teams in both the US and Canada for the last five years. When not at work, Laura enjoys a myriad of outdoor activities as well as traveling to destinations both large and small.
