Privacy Policy — Arkansas Family Supports, Inc.

Last updated: 07-13-2026

This policy explains what personal data Arkansas Family Supports, Inc. (“AFS,” “we,” “us”) collects through arkansasfamilysupports.org, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

Who we are

Our website address is: https://arkansasfamilysupports.org.

Arkansas Family Supports, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit provider of Waiver Services based in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Contact form

When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email address, phone number, and message) so we can respond to your inquiry. We retain contact form submissions only as long as needed to address your inquiry and for our internal recordkeeping, and we do not use this information for marketing without your separate consent.

Staff / member accounts

Some areas of this site require a login (for example, staff or authorized-user access). For anyone with an account, we store the personal information included in their profile — such as name and email address. Account holders can see, edit, or request deletion of their personal information at any time by contacting us (username/login identifiers may not be changeable). Site administrators can also view and edit this information as needed to manage accounts.

When you log in, we set cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your display preferences:

  • A temporary cookie is set on the login page to check whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
  • Login cookies last two days; screen-options cookies last a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login persists for two weeks. Logging out removes your login cookies.

If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email.

Media

If images are uploaded to this website (for example, staff or program photos), we take care to avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Note that, as with any website, visitors can technically download and inspect any location data embedded in images that do appear on the site.

Cookies and tracking technologies

Because this site is informational only, we don’t use comment-related cookies. We do use the following:

Google Analytics — helps us understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, time on site, general location and device type) so we can improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects data such as IP address (which may be anonymized), browser type, and browsing behavior. You can review Google’s privacy practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy and opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Facebook Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag — help us measure the effectiveness of our outreach and, where applicable, show relevant content to people who’ve visited our site on those platforms. These tools may collect data such as pages visited and general interactions with the site, and this data may be linked to a Facebook or LinkedIn account if you’re logged into those services. Review their policies at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/ and https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

You can manage or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain site functionality, such as staying logged in.

Embedded content from other websites

Pages on this site may include embedded content (for example, maps or videos). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that other website directly — it may collect data about you, set its own cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content, including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

We share data with the service providers necessary to operate the site and respond to inquiries, including our website hosting provider, Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook Pixel), and LinkedIn (Insight Tag). We do not sell personal data. If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email, as noted above.

How long we retain your data

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond and for internal recordkeeping, as described above.

For anyone with a site account, we store their profile information for as long as the account is active. Account holders can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except their username), and administrators can also view and edit that information to manage access.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have submitted a contact form, you can request an exported copy of the personal data we hold about you, and you can request that we erase it. This doesn’t apply to data we’re required to keep for administrative, legal, security, or regulatory purposes (for example, records tied to Waiver Services compliance). To make a request, contact us at [insert contact email/phone].

Where your data is sent

Data collected through this site — including contact form submissions and analytics data — may be processed by third-party service providers (hosting, analytics, and advertising platforms) as described above. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle data securely.

Note: This policy covers arkansasfamilysupports.org itself. It does not cover Waiver Services member records, health information, or other data AFS collects and manages as part of delivering CES Waiver Services — that information is governed separately by applicable state and federal requirements (including HIPAA and DDS/Medicaid rules), not by this website privacy policy.
